Effective May 1, 2023, the Republic of Suriname has reinstated the visa requirement for visitors from 21 countries.

The countries affected by this change include Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Eritrea, Ghana, India, Cameroon, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tunisia, Venezuela, Zambia, and South Africa.

Individuals holding passports from these nations are now obligated to obtain a visa prior to their travel to Suriname.
